Services
Our goal is not only to reduce recidivism but to ensure returning citizens and their families can thrive as business owners, college graduates, community leaders, and contributing members of society. RCSG enhances public safety, community wellness, and family reunification through holistic, trauma-informed services for formerly incarcerated individuals. We help people rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and purpose.
Digital Literacy

Our technology classes help returning citizens learn internet basics, Microsoft suite, email, online banking, social media, and general computer literacy.
IDs & Service Navigation

We help returning citizens to secure proper and valid identification documents (driver’s license, state ID, Social Security Card, birth certificate) and navigate healthcare service plans and benefits.
Employment Placement & Job Readiness Training

RCSG assists returning citizens in securing employment and completing accurate and compelling resumes. We meet with clients to discuss strengths and previous work experience to build out a robust resume for job applications, connect clients with open job applications, and set them up on search engines like Indeed or LinkedIn. RCSG provides training on workforce skills, workplace etiquette, and interactive job interview exercises, and offers interview and workplace appropriate clothing from our closet.
Legal Support

With a New York licensed attorney on staff and other pro-bono partners, we offer legal assistance in clemency and record expungement applications. We support our community in court hearings by providing testimony in writing (letters of support) and verbal presentations.

Social Enterprises *coming soon

A social enterprise is a business that generates profits from goods and services purchased by the community, but has a social mission. In this program, RCSG wants to create multiple social enterprises that educate, train, and employ returning citizens and at-risk youth in a variety of industries.
Meet Her At The Gate (partner program)

A woman-centered re-entry program that ensure no returning citizen leaves incarceration alone; providing immediate, in-person support at the time of release to help with transitions home.
