About the event
The Connecting Families NJ Campaign will gather at the state capital in Trenton on May 11th to advocate for the passage of the Connecting Families Act (S. 436/ A.2601) which would make communication (phone calls, video chats, email) free for incarcerated people and their loved ones.
The day will include a press conference, meetings with legislators, and sitting in on the Department of Corrections' budget hearing before the Assembly. Join us to advocate for families, fairness, and affordability by ending the exorbitant costs of communication!
